Relaxing at the Hotel: Whuuuuuut?

I know you might find this hard to believe, but today we didn't do much of anything. We took the time to enjoy all the resort amenities including ukelele lessons, riding bicycles, and walking around the grounds. The Mauna Lani is known for its historic preservation, so we explored the trails of ancient fishponds, freshwater springs, and petroglyphs.  I took some pictures of the baby hammerhead sharks, Chris was caught napping under a big umbrella, and Jackson spotted some goats and a mongoose. We found out the mongoose was introduced to Hawaii in order to control the rat population. But now the mongoose have overrun most of the islands and are considered invasive.
The hotel knew it was our anniversary trip, so they gave us a bottle of champagne. Today, we drank it by the pool and toasted to a great first week in Hawaii.
